ETi TOHUM supported the “Every Class is One” TOHUM project that the Autism Foundation has been running since 2009 to support access to education for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (OSD), with the “ETi Happy Box” mobile application.

The Türkiye İş Bankası 47th Istanbul Marathon, one of Turkey’s most widely attended sporting events, brought thousands of athletes and non-governmental organizations together with the same goal. Running for the TOHUM Otizm Vakfı (Autism Foundation), Güneşleri TOHUM also took steps this year to support the education of children with autism.
Operating since 2003 and continuing its efforts to ensure that children with autism receive an early diagnosis and benefit from individually tailored educational programs, the TOHUM Autism Foundation Educational Institutions, founded by the TOHUM Autism Foundation, hosted this special event at their school campus in Şişli, bringing together students, parents, alumni, teachers, foundation staff, and all stakeholders dedicated to special education, resulting in unforgettable moments.
During the Feast of the Sacrifice, where sharing and solidarity are experienced wholeheartedly, the TOHUM Autism Foundation has launched a donation campaign to provide educational opportunities for children with autism. Every donation made will contribute to an autistic child receiving quality education, participating in life, and taking a step toward an independent future.
TOHUM The Autism Foundation continues to expand its “Supported Employment Model” launched to enable people with autism to participate equally and sustainably in the workplace. In this regard, an important opportunity is being provided to companies to employ autistic individuals through the grant provided under the IŞKUR’s Disabled and Ex-Prisoner Grant Support Program.
In our country, only 44 thousand of the 700 thousand children with autism in the education age can access qualified education. The new academic year is starting. While millions of students prepare to start their lessons, a large majority of autistic children still cannot take their seats in the classrooms.
TOHUM As part of the ’One Class for All“ TOHUM project that the Autism Foundation has been conducting since 2009, two special education classrooms were opened at Elazığ Merkez İsmet Paşa Primary School with the contributions of Türkiye Sigorta.
As part of its support for the TOHUM Autism Foundation’s “Every Class is One” TOHUM project, Fundación MAPFRE is renovating special education classrooms. The opening of the fully equipped classroom at Istanbul Adnan Menderes Middle School, the first step in the partnership, has taken place, while the goal is to renovate one classroom in Aydın and Hatay by the end of 2025.
