Special education teachers who will work with students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) must possess basic-level general and special education knowledge and skills. Students diagnosed with ASD constitute the group of students with special needs who benefit the least from special education efforts, not only in Turkey but almost everywhere in the world.
