New Term Student Registrations Have Started at the Tohum Autism Foundation School!
The 2024–2025 academic year for Tohum Autism Foundation Educational Institutions officially began on July 1st with the launch of the Summer School program. Specifically designed for children with autism, the summer term offers an intensive educational experience that blends learning with fun.
At the school, which accepts children aged 0–12 diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), educational services include intensive one-on-one sessions covering all areas of development, with a particular focus on communication and social interaction skills. Group activities are also organized to help students engage with their peers and increase social participation.
With flexible program options ranging from 2 to 5 days per week, the Summer School provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based education until Friday, August 9, 2024.

Burçak Karakaya, General Manager of Tohum Autism Foundation, emphasized that autism is a developmental difference present from birth and typically noticeable within the first three years of life. She urged families to consult a child and adolescent psychiatrist specialized in autism without delay if they observe behaviors in their child that differ from peers of the same age.
Common signs of autism may include:
- Lack of eye contact
- Not responding when their name is called
- Delayed speech development
- Inability to point at desired objects
- Lack of interest in peer play
- Repetitive behaviors (rocking, flapping)
- Tiptoe walking
- Intense interest in spinning objects and obsessive behaviors
Tohum Autism Foundation School Continues Education After the Summer Term
The Tohum Autism Foundation School provides education 11 months of the year and will continue with the regular academic program following the summer school term.
