Someone Tell Me Private Tohum Autism Foundation - 2011

In a special program organized in cooperation with NTV-Tohum Autism Foundation, Prof. Dr. Yankı Yazgan, Prof. Dr. Bülbin Sucuoğlu,film critic Sevin Okyay, as well as popular actors Kenan Imirzalıoğlu, Tuba Büyüküstün, Erkan Petekkaya, Beren Saat, Cansel Elçin, Demet Evgar, Engin Altan Düzyatan and Star Ajda Pekkan got together for children with autism.
Before the program hosted by Can Dündar and Gülay Afşar, the autistic individual Dr. Temple Grandin’s 7 Emmy-winning movie “Temple Grandin”, which is about the extraordinary life story of Temple Grandin, was screened. 7 Emmy Award-winning Temple Grandin’s film about the life of Temple Grandin, a professor and lecturer in the Department of Animal Sciences at the University of Colorado, as well as an individual with autism, was shown on NTV screens for the first time in Turkey. After the screening of the film, the program continued with the presentations of Can Dündar and Gülay Afşar. Dr. Yanki Yazgan, Prof. Dr. Bülbin Sucuoğlu, Cinema critic Sevin Okyay, as well as popular actors Kenan İmirzalıoğlu, Tuba Büyüküstün, Erkan Petekkaya, Beren Saat, Cansel Elçin, Demet Evgar, Engin Altan Düzyatan also drew attention to the importance of early diagnosis and special education in autism. Emotional moments were experienced in the program, which was colored with the songs that Super Star Ajda Pekkan sang for mothers of children with autism.
