The Tohum Autism Foundation provides the www.tohumotizmportali.org free of charge for National use throughout Turkey; aiming to give information to primarily Parents, family members, educators, teachers, specialists and anyone interested in autism with the funds donated by the European Union’s Pre-school Education Improvement Fund.
With the support of the Ministry of Education, meetings and seminars were held in Antalya, Edirne, Trabzon, Eskişehir, Samsun, Erzurum, Antalya, Gaziantep, Van, Kayseri, Denizli, İstanbul ve Bursa in which developments on the web portal were disseminated and as well as parents, educators and students also participated in a very large turnout.
Put together by a team of experienced professionals and consultants from the Tohum Autism Foundation, in addition to detailed information on autism, the portal offers 20 modules on practical information on early intervention at home for children with ASD, coping with behavioral problems and preparing autistic children for later stages in life to name a few. Members can also be awarded Beginner and Higher Level Success Diplomas for completing the question and answer tests.
In order to access the Portal, the only requirement is to become a member and create a password.
