What is Educational Evaluation?

Educational assessment is about your child;

• Their characteristics in all development areas,
• Their qualifications in the fields of academic disciplines,
• It is a process aimed at identifying educational needs.

This assessment is conducted by the Special Education Evaluation Board within the RAM. The board conducts an assessment using testing and measurement tools appropriate for your child.

Report of the Disabled Health Board (ÇÖZGER)

For your child to be able to benefit from support education services, they must have a valid Disability Health Board Report obtained from the authorized hospitals. This report is for individuals under the age of 18. Special Needs Report for Children (ÇÖZGER) It is called as.

In this report;

• Date and number of the report,
• Diagnostic information and percentage ratios,
• Validity period,
• Information such as the percentage of obstacles should be included, and the report must not contain any omissions or tampering.

Special Education Evaluation Board, the rate of disability in the report %20 ve üzeri In the event that it is deemed appropriate for individuals with disabilities, it may recommend support training.

Who Makes up the Special Education Evaluation Board?

This committee is created within the RAM and consists of the following members:

• Deputy Director (President),
• Head of the Special Education Services Department,
• At least one guide teacher,
• At least one special education teacher.

As a guardian You can also join this board as a member.

When necessary, the board may include the following experts:

• Psychologist, language and speech therapist, physiotherapist, social worker, curriculum developer,
• The child's teachers, the school's administrators on behalf of the school,
• Representatives of civil society or academics.

These experts can provide information to the board, but they cannot vote.

Documents Required for Applying to the RAM

You must apply to the RAM with a petition for your child’s educational assessment. Along with your petition, you must attach the following documents:

• Written application from you or the school as an individual or parent,
• For students enrolled in the school/institution: “Educational Evaluation Request Form”,
• Re-reviewing: “Individual Development Report”,
• In applications related to support training;
  • Report of the Disability Health Board (for those over 18 years of age) or Special Needs Report for Children (for those under 18 years of age),
  • Your child's and your ID photocopy (in case of first application and change in identity),
  • If a guardian has been appointed: court order, guardian certificate or copy of the population registry.
• If your child is attending a special education and rehabilitation center:
  • Form for individual performance evaluation at the end of the term,
  • Monthly performance record tables.

Placing Your Child in an Educational Environment

When the educational assessment is completed, it is based on your child's developmental characteristics and educational needs. to an environment of minimal restricted education direction is given.

This placement is within the National Education Directorate Special Education Services Board It is carried out by the Board. The Board consists of the following members:

• Head of Special Education and Guidance Services (President),
• At least one head of a special education assessment board,
• At least one special education institution director or a school director from institutions where education is provided through integration/inclusion,
• At least one guide teacher and a special education teacher.
