With the TOHUM Autism Foundation's “Every Classroom Needs a TOHUM” Project, the Special Education Classroom in Osmaniye Was Renovated with the Contribution of Yapı Kredi Volunteers
Implemented by the TOHUM Autism Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education “Every Class is a TOHUM” within the scope of the project, With the contributions of Yapı Kredi Volunteers Renovations for the special education class at Osmaniye Merkez Fadıl Bulut Primary School have been completed. With this newly renovated class, the project nationwide to 223 special education class further strengthened the support provided to inclusive education by reaching out.
The renovated special education classroom at Fadıl Bulut Primary School provides a high-quality, inclusive, and sustainable educational environment equipped with special education materials and technological equipment designed to support skills such as attention, communication, and social development in students with autism. Within the scope of the project, not only are technological and educational materials provided to the classrooms, but a holistic structure is also implemented through training given to teachers, families, peers, and school administration. This special education classroom is the first classroom renovated by the TOHUM Autism Foundation in Osmaniye.
Stakeholders came together in the renovated classroom in Osmaniye
Following the project implemented at Osmaniye Merkez Fadıl Bulut Primary School, at the ceremony held, Osmaniye Guidance and Research Center Director Ali Boyraz, Osmaniye Special Education and Guidance Services Unit Chief Atilla Arslan, Yapı Kredi Volunteers Representatives, representatives of the TOHUM Autism Foundation, school administrators, teachers, students, and parents attended. As part of the ceremony, participants visited the classrooms and received information about these specially equipped educational areas and training programs.
Support for inclusive education from Yapı Kredi Volunteers
As part of its initiatives focused on social good and education, Yapı Kredi Volunteers supported students with autism in gaining access to quality educational environments by contributing to the TOHUM Autism Foundation’s “Every Classroom Is a TOHUM” project. With the renovated classroom in Osmaniye, the goal is for children with autism to learn in a safe and supportive educational environment.

“With the ”Every Classroom is a TOHUM“ project, special education classes, special education practice schools, and special education kindergartens in public schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education are supported with special education materials tailored to the individual needs of students. Within the scope of the project, 223 special education classes in 46 provinces have been renovated to date. Including 38 special education classes renovated after the February 6 earthquakes in Adana, Adiyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaras, Gaziantep, and Malatya, the project also provides information-enhancing training on autism awareness to teachers, families, and school administrations. In order to support the professional development of teachers, communication and information sharing are maintained throughout the year thanks to the ”teacher network" formed by special education teachers included in the project.
