Our Advocacy Activities for the Rights of Individuals with Autism
TOHUM As the Autism Foundation, we carry out rights-based advocacy activities to support people with autism in fully and equally participating in social life. We contribute to the development of public policies in many fields such as education, health, employment, social services, and disaster preparedness. Through these efforts, we aim to make the needs of people with autism and their families visible.
Defense of the Scope of Our Activities
🎯 Contribution to Policy Development Processes
We contribute to the development of national laws, strategic documents, and action plans that protect the rights of individuals with autism. We develop policy recommendations based on scientific data that are practical and human rights-based.
📊 Monitoring, Reporting and Intervention
We regularly monitor the legislation and practices of public institutions and report on developments based on data. We develop projects for identified needs and collaborate with relevant institutions.
📣 Awareness and Information Sharing
We are conducting awareness campaigns to inform the public; we share information through the press, social media, seminars, and training programs.
🤝 Networking and Joint Defense
By being present in national and international networks, we build a collective defense force. We publish reports, conduct campaigns, and develop collaborative projects.
🚨 Defense in Disaster and Crisis Situations
We are working in collaboration with institutions to develop solutions that address the special needs of individuals with autism in times of disaster and crisis.

An organization established after the Elazığ earthquake with the aim of fostering civil society collaboration in disaster situations.
Autism-Europe
A European-wide organization that advocates for the rights of individuals with autism and aims to improve their quality of life.
Sexual Health and Reproductive Health Rights Platform (CİSÜ)
Civil society network that advocates for access to sexual and reproductive health rights in Turkey.
Network for the Rights of Disabled Children (EÇHA)
A network of cooperation established to protect, monitor, and prevent violations of the rights of children with disabilities.
European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD)
The largest European network representing more than 20,000 institutions in more than 46 countries that provide services to disabled individuals.
Autism Education and Research Federation
A federation aimed at fostering solidarity among NGOs working in the field of autism.
