While millions of students are preparing to start their lessons, a large majority of children with autism still cannot attend classes. Although there are approximately 700,000 children with autism in Turkey who are of school age, only 44,000 of them have access to qualified education. Through the \u201cReturn to School\u201d campaign this year, the TOHUM Autism Foundation is appealing to the public for support, drawing attention to the need to ensure that more autistic children have access to qualified education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The only known cure for autism:&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Early diagnosis&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>starting with<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;y<\/strong><strong>That's it<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;and<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>constantly&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>\u00f6<\/strong><strong>zel<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;education<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Autism, a neuro-developmental difference that is present at birth and is noticed in the early years of life, is now seen in 1 in 31 children. Despite the increasing prevalence, the only known cure for autism is intensive and continuous special education, starting with early diagnosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Autism can often be manifested by some behavioral differences in the 0\u20133 year age group. The main symptoms that may be observed at this age include not making eye contact with others, not responding to name calls, delayed speech, not being able to point with their fingers, not showing interest in the games played by their peers, swinging, kicking, walking on toes, excessive attention to rotating objects, and repetitive behaviors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When families notice one or more of these symptoms in their children, they should seek the help of a specialist child and adolescent psychiatrist about autism without wasting time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TOHUM Wife from the Autism Foundation<\/strong><strong>it<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;e<\/strong><strong>Education<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;Call to action<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Autism Foundation, which has TOHUM been advocating in Turkey for the inclusion of children with autism in society through special education for 22 years,<strong>&nbsp;\u201c<\/strong><strong>D to school<\/strong><strong>\u00f6<\/strong><strong>n\u00fc\u015f<\/strong><strong>\u201d&nbsp;<\/strong>With its campaign, it aims to ensure that more autistic children benefit from quality education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TOHUM Bur\u00e7ak Karakaya, General Manager of the Autism Foundation,<\/strong>&nbsp;In a statement made as part of the campaign, he said the following: \u201cIt is of great importance that children with autism are not segregated from educational environments.
